M+ DREAM ROOMS

M+ is a huge and relatively new art gallery in Hong Kong’s West Cultural District, it is a fantastic venue set in a beautiful space with views over Victoria Harbour. I recently visited to see the ‘Dream Rooms: Environments by Women Artists 1950s–Now’ exhibition with my young daughter. I thought it would be the perfect art show for a toddler as it was highly interactive with most exhibits being ‘walk though’ - like little play rooms for a toddler! One of her favorites was the colour room as seen below, she enjoyed hiding in the corners and exploring the tunnels. She wasn’t so keen on the feathers as they kept getting stuck on her face and tickled her! Below is a small selection of pieces I enjoyed from other exhibitions in M+, including a great room of Robert Rauschenberg responses to his time in Asia between 1960 - 1990.
